Different Types Of Friends

When somebody says the word "Friends", most people would instantly think about friends you've known for years, one's you went to school with, one's you go out for food and drinks with. Yes, I have those types of friends and I love them very much, but there is also the type that you don't see very often, but you still feel that same bond.

I have spoken to a group of girls every single day since March after bonding over a television programme and not once have I gone a day without speaking to them.

There's one unusual thing about this though. I met them online.

In no way, shape or form do I promote meeting someone from the internet without knowing exactly who they are first of all. I'd seen all the girls on Skype, and spoken to them, seen hideous pictures of their faces and genuinely had great chats with them before we'd met up.

There was no awkwardness what so ever, the conversation flowed, they are literally just the same as me even though they are from all over the UK and Ireland and of all different ages, sometimes I query if I really am the eldest.

I would trust them with my life, and sometimes they know more things about me than my parents do. We've had random days out, spent a whole day at Blackpool together, and are even planning a few days to Scotland and a couple of concerts next year.

It was a big step telling my mum that I have online friends, and she thought it was weird at first, but now she knows them by name and even comments on the cuteness of cards and presents I receive.

I love you all & you mean the world to me <3
