Hollie At Hollyoaks!

[Side note - if you see 'Alys' written in this blog, please pronounce it as Ay-Liss in your head]

As some of you may know, I am a big fan of the British soap opera Hollyoaks, I've watched it every day since 2005 and have even met some of my best friends because of it. They film up in Liverpool and you can actually wait outside of the studios and hopefully talk or get a glimpse of your favourite actors. So me and Alys decided to go there for a couple of days.

We got to our new home on Wednesday night [A budget hotel which I shall say no more about]. The TV was actually hanging off of the wall haha! But it was cheap and we were only going to sleep there so it didn't overly matter what it looked like.

We got up bright and early on Thursday morning ready for the day ahead - the weather forcasted light rain showers and mostly sunshine - so all looked good.

I was fucking thankful I bought my first umbrella that I had ever purchased LOL

All in all, the cast seemed to be in a rush that day and we only ended up meeting one of the cast members; Lizzie Roper who plays Sam Lomax & we were hoping that Friday would be more successful. To drown our sorrows, we went and pigged out at the local pub - burgers, chips and onion rings!






We were much more optimistic for Friday - we knew for a fact that our favourite [Kieron Richardson] was going to stop for us, so that was a bonus. Of course we wanted to meet more people, but we came to the conclusion that if he was the only person we'd be okay with that as he's really the only one we really, really wanted to see again. Alys was freaking out after Kieron had DM'd her, telling her that he was finishing around 12.30 and it took her a while to compose herself enough to reply with something that she wouldn't cringe at later on in the day.

 had already met Nikki Sanderson, who plays Maxine Minniver in July, but I didn't overly like that photo. This one is much better and her hat is cute :)

We met Joe Tracini who plays Dennis Savage. He got out of his taxi to take pictures with people and chat a little, even though his fare was slowly increasing. He was still unaware he'd just taken photos with two of the many people he'd blocked on twitter ;)

 
 

 

 

Jimmy McKenna who plays Jack Osbourne came out also. He was about to go for a run in his lunch break, so even though it was freezing cold he was in his shorts haha! He was lovely.

Sophie Austin aka Lindsay Butterfield also came out in her bright yellow car, posed for photos and also rang up one of her biggest fans to say Happy Birthday to her. Cute :)

 

 

 Kieron made an appearance about 1:10 just as I was desperate to use the loo - but no way on earth was I going to risk that. He was as lovely as he always is - giving me and Alys the biggest hugs possible. We gave him Marshmallows and made him promise to play Chubby Bunny on his radio show with Toby - so he better do that! He signed our Christmas Party photo, and chatted to everybody for a little while before having to leave. He's so down to earth; and it still seems surreal that he knows exactly who I am. As he was signing my photo I was about to tell him my name, but he obviously already knew it haha!

 

 

 

 

 

Fab Santino who plays Ziggy Roscoe also made an appearance, riding out on his bike haha! He was probably the shock of the day to be honest. I didn't think he was going to be horrible or anything, but he seemed more down to earth and funnier than I thought he'd be. He heard my accent and asked me where I was from - to which I replied London, as nobody really knows exactly where Surrey is. When he found out that I came from Surrey his exact words were "That ain't London! What you on about?!" He was great, and I love our photo :D

 

 

 

 

 

Charlie Wernham who plays Robbie  Roscoe had just woken up in this photo. LOL. One of the other girls at the studios loves him, and wanted to give him a personal letter she wrote; possibly risking her life by jumping infront of his car HA! It worked though - she could give him her letter and I got my photo :)

 Ashley Taylor Dawson who plays Darren Osbourne was in a rush, but he still stopped for the people freezing cold outside of the studios. This photo blurred like a bitch, but he's still smiling like he usually does :)

This photo of Charlie  Clapham [Freddie Roscoe] was taken at half 7 at night... and yes he's wearing shorts the mental man ha! He was doing that thing where you speak through gritted teeth - murmuring "I'm fucking freezing"

All in all, I had such an amazing 3 days in Alys' company, even if I did proper piss her off by accidentally calling her Alys' all the time. We had plenty of laughs, made loads of memories and even made some new friends who kept us sane and amused throughout the wind, rain and long waits. I already want to go back to Friday and relive the entire thing again. It also seems that Kieron's manager and Alys have talked me into going to Kieron's P.A in Brighton when I despise the entire Club atmosphere; but I'm sure I'll be fine once I have a few drinks in me.

I was supposed to be meeting Rhea for the first time too; but certain things happened, which I hope will become solved. Love you Rhea and see you in Brighton bitch!

Taylor Swift = Amazing

A normal fan, who is going to watch one of their favourite artists would download their new album beforehand right?

Not me.

 

Last night, I went to the o2 Arena in London with two of my friends to watch Taylor Swift, and I had barely heard of half of her songs. That said, I still enjoyed it - she was better live than I had anticipated and I would 100% see her again.

 

 

We agreed beforehand that we would go to Jimmy Spices for dinner, so all day I only had a sandwich so I could make the most of the buffet-style restaurant, and boy did we. I could barely even walk when we'd finished- my jeans were tight before - I must have looked like a sumo wrestler once I'd finished. Everything from noodles to pasta to pizza to chipatis to chips to poppadoms. I even had about 3 slices of cake and some ice cream. I felt sick.

 

The Vamps were the support act, an up and coming boyband, who have already had two hit singles (they're actually The Wanted's support act too in March.) They got the crowd pumped and more excited - but everybody just wanted Taylor.

 

(p.s - I didn't actually see it first hand but Conner from The Vamps actually fell off the stage - youtube it; it's funny)

 

 

Taylor eventually came on stage at 8:45pm and put on quite the show. Two of my personal favourites were '22' and 'You Belong with me.' The whole of the o2 were singing along so I can imagine how emotional the whole performance made Taylor feel. Standing on a stage watching thousands of people singing back a song that you wrote, must be an amazing feeling.

 

Taylor has had special guests throughout her other tour dates [Ed Sheeran and Danny O'Donoghue to name a couple] so we were looking forward to finding out who our night would be.

 

Just to let you know - Rachel hates Emeli  Sande - she irritates her, she hates her songs, she's everywhere you look.

Overall, it was a brilliant, fun night, and spending it with two of my best friend's was a bonus. Going to a concert is something I love doing, and even though it's a lot of money most of the time, it's memories you will never ever forget.
